There is a lot going on with postcards this month. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the possibilities of things to share. Here’s a beauty from my personal collection. I was also fortunate to have a duplicate which was put into the marketplace. It’s an unused linen of the Benito Juárez monument in C. Juarez, MX. I’ve always regretted not taking the day to venture across the bridge from El Paso & just catch a glimpse of it.
📣 Hidden Gem
I have it, on highly respected inside information, that The Florida Flywheelers Antique engine club has a yearly event in January with a couple of postcard dealers that bring plenty. NOW, this is a HUGE event in Polk co, Florida in January and is not for the faint of heart. My source [a wonderful flea market vendor in Plant City] said multiple times to bring a golf cart due to the area for displays. Not a Postcard show, necessarily, but a place where history, antiques, and a wonderful group of people preserving these treasures meet. Surely you will find something you love!

The @ Mailseum Discord has been busy with RPPC sales-chat @thepostcardguy1 was sharing his latest pc victory! There is also an active RPPC group on FB to visit & research these beautiful antique cards. This is @ thepostcardguy1’s card.
We also had good discussions about watermarks on postcards for reselling and how to accomplish it. You would need to be part of the group to participate in the conversation.

✍️Blog of the Month
Since exploring postcards everywhere, I’ve come across quite a few interesting blogs with postcard themes. Here is a cute one that does local history of their hometown with ephemera and postcards. It had a lovely holiday article. It’s one of the best ways to get to know an area, pull out the old postcards. The author puts a tremendous amount of effort and research into his posts, and alot of postcards too!
